Why is it called Punarvasu?

"Punar" (again) + "vasu" (bright/brilliant, also "abode") gives "the return of light" or "return home." Its deity Aditi, mother of the gods and goddess of boundlessness, reinforces themes of nurturing, safety, and starting over without losing what came before.

Degree span: 80°00′–93°20′ of the sidereal zodiac (Lahiri Ayanamsa), the same 13°20' segment convention used across this site's Panchang and Nakshatra Transit tools.
